Aylesbury
On my about page I say, if somewhere is good, I'll say so. If not, I'll trash it. That has only been done once on my old site for Sevenoaks, Kent, England. I had chosen Aylesbury for it's buses to visit and write up 8 small villages. There are two bus stations there and I tried to find the information booth. Two people pointed in two different directions. I asked a third guy who said he knew and took me there, if he hadn't I would've left the place immediately. It was outside the bus stations and the woman there was very helpful, she printed out time schedules but the number of the buses were not on it, only the time and she told which way to go and which bus number.
Off I went, only to find out the bus did not stop at the village, but on a very busy main road and I would have to walk a long way to the place. That did it for me, I tossed the schedules and headed back to the train station. My legs were hurting from the paving on sidewalks and streets so was glad to board the train, sit down and relax.
During all this was the traffic. You never knew whether or not a car would come down the road because it all looked like a pedestrian only zone, I almost got hit twice, the drivers are terrible.

Once back home I did some research and learned that Aylesbury is the worst town in the country to live in. It has developed a bad reputation. Reviewers described it as having poor traffic, a lack of charm, and being a "concrete jungle". So I am not the only one trashing the stupid place. There was another town named Dorking that I was going to trash, but Aylesbury made it look like good. I feel sorry for Bourg-en-Bresse.
I still want to write up some villages, somewhere, but will probably only do one or two, before I head for Pamplona in July.

Avoid it like the plague.
