Hi, I've been a travel writer since 2011. My old site, Simian Circles, I closed down, figuring 12 years is a good run. I have traveled since I was two weeks old and backpacked across the United States and around Europe plus North Africa, in the late 1960's and early 70's.
This website is a shift of focus and even though traveling is involved, it will take a back seat to photographing wildlife, when and where I can find it. This domain was one sitting idle and expires in 2027 after which I will probably no longer write up anything.
This is something I have had buried in my mind since I was a teenager, back in yon years of yore and have decided to finally take the bull by the horns and get on with it. I do not do social media.
Any place I visit must have, excellent public transportation there and back or I will not give it a second thought.
If somewhere is good, I'll say so. If not, I'll trash it, so you won't waste your time on the place.
I've added a new subject for hikes, might as well, because so far that's about all I've done searching for any wild animals.
Some old posts from Simian Circles have been included here, mainly because they do relate somewhat to this blog. I have put up a copy of the Simian Circles site, here for reference only.
