Pamplona in the Fall
On my old blog I used to do a traditional post of my journies to Pamplona, in the Basque Region of Spain. Since the failure of my not being able to move to Israel (chaotic and left just before the war began), I have added travel blogging to the McGresty site. So, after getting my new laptop, I no longer live in England and set out ln the road once more to my favorite place. My backpack is now my home and, at this time, I have no idea where this is all gonna lead to.
I used to fly from London's Gatwick Airport to Bilbao but this time was from Heathrow to Madrid because it saves me about 300 to 400 UKP. Unfortunately London shuts down about midnight, so I had to grab a train at 10:25 PM then their metro to the airport. As usual that meant hanging around the place until 4 AM to check in and go through security. The plane was British Airways and the only difference between their seat and a Ryan Air one was I had more legroom, BA's kinda lost the plot.
Flying out at 6 AM and landing around 10 o'clock gave me plenty of time to get the train to Pamplona. I was very tired and finally hit the sack about 10 PM. A friend had found me a room for a decent price with a nice family and good sleep followed.

The room is fine and very quiet, which is nice because that means I get a good night's sleep, though the bed is a bit hard on my spine. For the moment my agenda is settling in and refreshing my mind about the city.

I have a room in an apartment at the far end of this.

Wonder what's next?
