A nice little surprise
Another nice warm day had begun and I needed to have a good think over breakfast near where I was staying in Tangier. Often a mint tea was enjoyed at this one restaurant and I would normally face the Straits, but for breakfast I sat facing the other direction. Following the preceding disasterous attempts to achieve going to some places and the considering whether or not returning to Morocco, I noticed a set of steps with all kinds of colors off to my right. Not having seen them before it was decided to take a look. I was in for a surprise.
There are quite a few areas with steep steps in Tangier, but they are plain. This set had colorful paintings on each wall as I proceeded up, wishing I had taken a foto before ascending. I did not have my camera with me, only the larger smartphone I now use as a tablet. Once at the top I whipped it out and began taking photo's.
A right turn at the top would lead me to the Kasbah, stopping at one place in the Kasbah direction to look out over the main road below and the port, then going left I proceeded down the road, I wandered around the little area for a bit and went to the other end where some steps (no paintings) appeared, went down them and back to where I was staying.
I was sitting in the next row to the right below.

Toward Kasbah.
All the other streets at the tops of sets of steps are just places where people live and quite boring as a result, this street is totally different.
