Towards the unknown
When I first began travel writing my site was named Torn Dot with it's strapline being, a peek inside that dot on the map. I'd simply pick a dot on a map and go to it, knowing nothng about the place. Simian Circles (monkeying around) came after I first went to Europe. A while back I was sitting watching this gull gliding about looking for something to eat. It did not know exactly where or what it would be, that was an unknown factor to the bird.

Following my time in Morocco, I'm returning to London for a spell to do some assessment. My family were not those with long lives, if I reach 82 it'll be a miracle. That means I have only about three years left. I'm in good shape, needed to be when ascending a 1200 foot elevation in the Rif Mountains via the roughest ground I've ever encountered, so kind of okay on that score. It was one of those unknown factors like I used to enjoy, but have gone a bit overboard on the planning side otherwise. Also, the storm clouds gathering in the world are a bit ominous.
Some basic planning is needed, but not so much that it leaves no room for the undiscovered. I know what I would like to do, but that came into question the last time I was in Beer Sheva.
As I write this, there are only a few days left before leaving Maroc. I've spent two months here and some good things happened. Now it is back to the cold and wet of England.
